Back in 2004, life at Birdwoods started as a stand-alone Gallery and it continues to be the main engine that fuels our now multi-faceted business. A huge part of the Gallery’s enduring success is the creative energy and management that Julia Whyte, our Gallery Manager of the last 10 years puts into it.
Julia has many strings to her professional bow, having worked for many years as a Buyer for the Interiors department at Kirkcaldie & Stains in Wellington as well as having established her own design company Diana Black Design. Her gorgeous photographic canvases can often be seen displayed at Birdwoods and on the here on the website.
Julia’s great sense of style, her knowledge of design, fashion and photography and her ability to forecast future interior trends are key to keeping the Gallery looking magnificent and full of interesting, unusual, well-priced and inspiring treasures for every visitor. We thank Julia for being such a strong hand at the helm of the Gallery.
